Celene Chan, President

Vice President, Finance at Alabaster Homes
Celene is currently the Vice President, Finance at Alabaster Homes, a Vancouver-based real estate development firm specializing in premier townhome and condominium projects. In her role, Celene oversees the finance team in corporate finance strategy and execution, business development, capital structure planning and analysis, financial reporting, treasury, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining Alabaster, Celene was an institutional investment manager for a charitable foundation and its benefactor family, advising on a globally diversified portfolio of assets, including private equity, private debt, pooled funds and public securities. Celene has extensive investment experience in real estate, oil and gas, and marine transport sectors, and is a specialist in financial modeling and transaction due diligence. In addition to advanced degrees in Economics from UBC and SFU, Celene has been a CFA charterholder since 2016 and completed the CIM designation in 2015.

David Williams, Vice President

David leads the development of public policy research, advice and solutions that will enhance prosperity for all British Columbians. He was previously a senior economist at the Bank of Canada, a lecturer at Oxford University, a PhD research intern at the International Monetary Fund, and the senior advisor for economic policy at Australia’s Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. David holds a DPhil (PhD) and MPhil in economics from Oxford University.

Susan is a Partner in MNP’s Economics and Research Practice and specializes in helping clients develop quantitative estimates to support decision making. She has over 20 years of experience in applying economic analysis to business decisions in a range of industries including healthcare, aviation, post secondary education, non-profit, government and tourism. Susan has a Masters Degree in Economics from Simon Fraser University, has taught in the School of Business at BCIT and is frequently invited to speak on local and regional economic issues.
