"Bank of Canada Briefing on the Canadian Economic Outlook"
Following the Bank of Canada’s interest rate announcement that morning, Lynn Patterson and Jeannine Bailliu will discuss the Governing Council’s latest Canadian economic outlook, and its assessment of risks.

Bank of Canada
Lynn Patterson was appointed Deputy Governor in 2014. In this capacity, she is one of two deputy governors responsible for overseeing the Bank’s analysis and activities in promoting a stable and efficient financial system. As a member of the Bank’s Governing Council, she shares responsibility for decisions with respect to monetary policy and financial system stability, and for setting the strategic direction of the Bank. She has more than 25 years’ experience in capital markets, risk oversight, and senior management roles, including as President and Country Head for Bank of America Merrill Lynch Canada.
Jeannine Bailliu is a Senior Policy Advisor in the International Economic Analysis Department. Her primary research interests are international finance, international economics, and applied econometrics. She has conducted research on the Chinese economy, exchange rate and monetary policy regimes, exchange rate pass-through, exchange rate determination and macroeconomic modelling. She holds a doctoral degree in Economics from the University of California and has worked for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development in Paris.
