Mike Nugent graduated from Brentwood College in 1976.

He first worked at Woodwards Departments Stores from 1976-1989, where he was transferred through various management positions and locations. Ultimately he held the position of senior clothing buyer which involved extensive travel throughout Asia and North America.

Mike chose to move back to Victoria in 1989 to raise his children Krista and Brian in the Gordon Head area of Saanich. Upon returning to Victoria, Mike joined his brother Dan in planning and building the very successful 55 unit waterfront townhome project in the Qualicum area known as Pebble Beach. Through this he gained a wide variety of knowledge of all aspects of the construction, real estate and real estate marketing processes.

Mike became licensed with DFH Real Estate Ltd and has been an active REALTOR® since 1996. He was a Partner and the Managing Director of DFH from 2008-2013, managing six offices, with 145 agents, and introduced an industry leading training system.

After six years of management Mike returned to selling. As well as assisting clients with all types of residential real estate he has also been personally involved with commercial and revenue properties.
In 2012, Mike was first elected to the Victoria Real Estate Board of Directors. He is currently Past President after serving as President in 2016. He also served as Chair of the Managing Broker’s committee, the MLS committee, the Finance and Audit committee, and the Professional Standards committee.
