  • November 25, 2004: Mr. Peter Butzelaar, Forest Industry Market Consultant, R.E. Taylor & Associates Ltd. presented highlight findings from his recently published study titled "Clearwood (Pine) Lumber, Moulding & Millwork Sector - Outlook to 2008."
  • October 25, 2004: Mr. Mark Carney, Deputy Governor, Bank of Canada, conducted a Roundtable Discussion on the Bank of Canada's Monetary Policy Report in Vancouver.
  • October 13, 2004: Dr. Craig Riddell, UBC Economics Department, delivered a presentation in Victoria entitled “Education, Skills, and Labour Market Outcomes.” Dr. Riddell's presentation material is now available for Download (in PowerPoint slides).   • September 12, 2001: Dr. Don DeVoretz, Co-Director of the Centre of Excellence on Immigration Studies and Professor of Economics at Simon Fraser University, reviewed his recent research on the mobility of skilled workers in a presentation entitled Canadian Brain Drain, Gain or Transfer?
  • October 10, 2001: George Pedersson (G.A. Pedersson & Associates) delivered a presentation entitled Translating Global Economic Forecasts into an Outperforming Investment Portfolio. The presentation discussed how, in the context of the changes in the investment industry and current market valuations, an economic forecast can be used to devise an optimal portfolio strategy and manage investment risk.
  • November 14, 2001: Pierre Duguay, Deputy Governor, Bank of Canada presented APEBC members with his views on Recent Developments in the Canadian Economy.
  • December 5, 2001: Reid Carter, Paper and Forest Products Analyst at National Bank Financial, outlined the current state of British Columbia's forest sector in a presentation entitled Outlook for the BC Forest Industry: Can it add value? Does it have a Future?
