David Green is a professor in and director of the Vancouver School of Economics at UBC and an International Fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies in London. As a researcher, Professor Green is ranked in the top four percent of economists worldwide. He is a former editor of the Canadian Journal of Economics. He has twice won the Harry Johnson Prize for best paper in the latter journal and has also twice won the Purvis Prize for outstanding contributions to research on public policy in Canada. HIs research interests centre around determinants of the wage and employment structure. In his recent work, this has entailed bridging between macro labour (worrying about general equilibrium effects) and micro labour identification issues.
